Whether on social media or in real life, we respond with attachment, aversion, or neutrality to everything we encounter. This endless evaluation of our experience is exhausting for the mind and is where our experience of suffering begins. This class will explore how to relax the habit of mental reactivity with meditation and mindfulness, and will include a short meditation to calm and center the mind. Both relaxing and healing, this meditation can be practiced by anyone, regardless of religious tradition.
