Tulku Sang Ngag Rinpoche is one of the foremost Stupa building Lamas in the Nyingma Tradition. He has overseen the building of hundreds of Stupas around the world, constantly maintaining the prayers and practices required to do so. His knowledge of the history and details regarding all aspects of Stupas is vast and complex. In 2003, Rinpoche was in Sedona, AZ, helping us build a Stupa there. During that visit he gave this teaching.
Stupas are the embodiment of the mind of the Buddha. They act as generators to amplify any prayers you make in their presence. To be part of the building, repair or upkeep of a Stupa provides tremendous merit, which in turn, fuels your path to enlightenment.
